About the Role
We are hiring a Marketing Representative to support our Verizon promotional campaign at scheduled events and pop-up locations throughout McLean, Virginia, and the surrounding DMV area.
You will represent the campaign in person, introduce potential customers to Verizon wireless, home internet, and TV services, explain current promotions, and assist interested customers with sales and enrollment.
This position focuses on face-to-face promotional marketing, customer engagement, and direct sales. It includes sales responsibilities and performance goals.
This is a W-2 position with our company supporting a Verizon campaign; it is not direct employment with Verizon.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage attendees and potential customers at assigned promotional events and pop-up locations.
- Build awareness of Verizon services and current offers through professional, face-to-face conversations.
- Ask questions to understand customers’ wireless, home internet, and TV service needs.
- Present service options, features, pricing, and promotions using approved campaign materials.
- Check service availability and promotional eligibility through approved procedures.
- Explain applicable fees, promotional terms, offer duration, and enrollment requirements before customers make a decision.
- Recommend suitable options based on customer needs and service eligibility.
- Assist interested customers with sales documentation, applications, and enrollment using approved systems.
- Review enrollment details for accuracy and explain next steps.
- Record customer interactions, leads, completed sales, and authorized follow-up needs.
- Refer technical, billing, or account questions outside your scope to the appropriate support team.
- Help set up, organize, and take down promotional displays and event materials.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized promotional area.
- Work toward established customer engagement, sales, and service-quality goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training on services, promotions, communication, and sales procedures.
- Follow company requirements for customer consent, privacy, and handling personal information.
Compensation
- Base pay: $800–$1,200 per week, determined by relevant experience, education, and qualifications. Your specific base rate will be stated in your employment offer.
- Sales commissions: Average additional earnings of approximately $400–$500 per week. Individual earnings vary based on eligible completed sales and the applicable commission plan and are not guaranteed.
- Performance bonuses: Additional bonuses are available based on defined performance criteria. Eligibility, amounts, and payment terms will be explained before you accept an offer.
Base pay is separate from commissions and performance bonuses.
Schedule and Work Locations
This is a full-time, in-person position with a Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule.
Marketing Representatives work at assigned promotional events and pop-up locations across McLean, Virginia, and the DMV area. Locations vary according to the campaign schedule.
The company covers transportation expenses for required travel between assigned work locations.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence initiating conversations and presenting services and promotions clearly.
- A professional and respectful approach to customer interactions.
- Comfort working in a face-to-face marketing role with direct sales responsibilities and performance goals.
- Attention to detail when completing applications and recording customer information.
- Ability to work the stated schedule and attend assigned locations throughout McLean and the DMV area.
- Experience in promotional marketing, events, retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales is helpful.
