Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by performing various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Prepare patients for their appointments by taking vital signs, documenting medications, and medical histories.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with medical standards.
Schedule appointments and manage the flow of patients within the office.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Perform coding for billing purposes when necessary.
Assist medical staff with prior authorizations.
Assist with patient account reconciliation.

Skills

Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
Experience with electronic health records.
Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
Ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently and with compassion.
Familiarity with coding practices for accurate billing processes.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient care.
Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
