Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained during food handling and service
Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously
Support food preparation and food industry best practices to ensure quality service delivery
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively

Skills

Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and processing
Strong culinary experience or understanding of food preparation techniques in a restaurant setting
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling to maximize revenue opportunities
Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is highly desirable
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to perform basic math accurately for bill calculations and cash handling
Previous experience as a host/hostess or server with strong guest interaction skills
Familiarity with kitchen operations, bussing, and general food industry practices
