Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual and automatic transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of sensitive cargo.
Manage route driving responsibilities.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and resolve any issues promptly

Skills

Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions and tractor-trailers
Strong knowledge of freight handling including load & unload procedures for US MAIL
Ability to drive safely over long distances while managing route schedules efficiently
Excellent understanding of trucking regulations and safety protocols for commercial driving
Skilled in vehicle inspection routines and basic maintenance awareness to ensure optimal truck performance
