Job Overview
We are seeking a professional, experienced, and enthusiastic craft bartender to join our dynamic team and help bring the French Riviera to life at Barbouzard, a fine dining restaurant in the heart of Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, accurately taking food orders, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
Accurately take food orders and provide menu suggestions
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and responding to their needs.
Manage cash handling transactions accurately, including processing payments and maintaining accurate tabs.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Assist with food handling and catering services as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food service.

Requirements

Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the food industry is required.
Strong knowledge of beverage preparation methods.
Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential.
Must be of legal drinking age in accordance with local laws and regulations.
