Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. MUST HAVE PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE!!!!! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including urgent care, internal medicine, and geriatrics. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively assist healthcare providers while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Support the healthcare team in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments.
Demonstrate knowledge of physiology, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, emergency medicine, and inpatient care.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following experience or skills:

Previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
Knowledge of physiology and its application in a clinical setting.
Experience working in hospital environments, particularly in internal medicine or pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
A strong understanding of outpatient procedures related to operating rooms (OR) is a plus.
Pediatric experience required.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
