Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Kitchen Manager/ Assistant Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations and the restaurants as whole. This pivotal role combines management expertise with culinary passion, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety standards, and customer satisfaction. As a Kitchen Manager, you will drive efficiency, foster a positive team environment, and uphold the highest standards of food preparation and service in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Your leadership will inspire staff, streamline processes, and elevate the overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
Supervise kitchen staff through effective training, development, and performance management to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
Implement food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations; conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours in a quick service or casual dining environment.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
Assist in budgeting, labor scheduling, and shift management to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Skills

Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry.
Proven supervisory skills with a background in staff training, team management, and interviewing potential team members.
Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and transaction processing.
Familiarity with inventory control practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation procedures.
Experience managing operations in both fine dining and casual or quick service restaurant settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, foster hospitality excellence, and promote continuous improvement.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as shift management, food production oversight, and customer service excellence simultaneously.
