Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and recommendations to meet their needs
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
Manage stock levels through stocking shelves, inventory checks, and replenishment activities
Uphold excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders
Supervise junior team members when needed, providing guidance on sales techniques and customer service standards

Skills

Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting
Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee team members effectively
Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively to boost sales
Bilingual skills are highly valued for communicating with diverse customer groups
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with customers and team members
Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math for accurate inventory management
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
Basic math skills necessary for transactions, discounts, and inventory calculations
Experience in grocery store environments is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with retail sales processes
