We are seeking a dynamic Junior Engagement SETA to support high-impact engagements in support of ARPA-H. In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate a variety of stakeholder events, streamline logistics, and help strengthen partnerships that accelerate innovation. Location: This position is based in Washington, DC, with on-site requirements. Occasional travel may be required to support engagements and events.
Clearance Needed: NIH Public Trust

Responsibilities:

Support ARPA-H convenings, receptions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, ranging from small roundtables to large-scale innovation showcases
Manage all facets of event logistics, including attendee registration, communications, materials preparation, and on-site coordination
Coordinate travel arrangements and complex trip logistics for ARPA-H leadership and stakeholders
Drive outreach initiatives and maintain engagement tracking systems to ensure seamless stakeholder communication
Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and follow-up communications to reinforce engagement efforts
Maintain accurate event calendars, stakeholder databases, and project management tools
Develop post-event reports and metrics to evaluate engagement success and impact
Collaborate closely with program teams, communications staff, and leadership to align engagement activities with strategic priorities

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in event management, stakeholder engagement, travel coordination, or a related field
Exceptional attention to detail; able to spot what others might overlook and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Experience working within healthcare, life sciences, research, or innovation ecosystems (industry, academia, startups, government, nonprofits)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Comfort with ambiguity and adept at solving problems in real-time
Bachelor’s degree or higher

Nice to Have:

Experience with strategic communications or outreach strategies
Familiarity with project management software or engagement tracking tools
Previous experience supporting government agencies or large-scale initiatives

Salary Range: $89,455- $125,200
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
