Pastry Sous Chef / Pastry Lead

The Corner Pantry is a high-volume café and full-service catering company seeking a talented, driven Pastry Professional to lead and grow our pastry program.

We are a family-owned and operated business with a fast-paced café, brunch, Grab & Go, and catering operation focused on quality, consistency, and creativity. If you are passionate about scratch baking, organization, and producing exceptional pastries in a high-volume environment, we’d love to meet you.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday 7 AM–4 PM
Saturday Brunch 8 AM–3 PM
Early morning shifts required (as early as 5 AM)
Sundays always off

Responsibilities:

Execute daily pastry production for café, Grab & Go, and catering
Prepare baked goods, pastries, desserts, and specialty items with consistency and attention to detail
Assist with seasonal menu development and new product creation
Maintain production schedules and pars for multiple business channels
Ensure quality control, organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards
Manage prep efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Support BOH team and leadership with production planning

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 3 years pastry or baking experience required
Professional kitchen or bakery experience preferred
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry fundamentals, and production systems
Experience with high-volume prep and scratch baking
Creative, organized, and detail-oriented
Able to work independently while supporting a larger team
Comfortable with early mornings and physically demanding shifts
Catering or brunch experience is a major plus

Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 50 lbs
Stand for extended periods
Bend, reach, and move quickly with urgency
