Position Summary

Builds and repairs fixtures and structures. Repairs plumbing and electrical systems under 50 volts. Performs routine maintenance and repairs for forklifts, HVAC and machinery and equipment for both ancillary businesses and warehouse. Provides janitorial and general maintenance of warehouse and grounds. Job Duties/Essential Functions ● Performs routine maintenance and repairs for warehouse and ancillary business machinery and equipment, such as forklifts, HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, ovens, scales, wrappers, compactor, baler, and dock plates. ● Builds and repairs fixtures, structures, and displays using hand and power tools. Measures, cuts, affixes, shapes, sands and paints various materials. ● Repairs plumbing problems, installs and maintains plumbing fixtures. Repairs electrical systems under 50 volts. ● Participates in janitorial duties, cleans floors with floor scrubbing machine, empties garbage, pulls cardboard, cleans office, break room and restrooms. Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance of duties. Cleans and maintains grounds and building, performs roof checks. Participates in snow and ice removal. ● Follows safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment or contracting out electrical work, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler and product disposal. Responds quickly to clean up spills. ● Checks daily schedule for assigned tasks, construction, maintenance, and repair jobs. ● Provides prompt and courteous member service. ● Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. ● Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery ● Hand tools, pressure washer, floor scrubber, leaf blower, power tools, snow cat, trash compactor, cardboard baler and machinery throughout the warehouse. Non-Essential Functions ● Assists with department duties as necessary. ● Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery ● Cash register, tabletop/hand-held scanners, carts, and flatbeds. Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required: ● Hazard Communication and JHA (initial assignment), Costco Hazardous Materials DOT Training Course: Part 1 (within 30 days and then every year), Hazmat Universal Waste Training- Short Version (within 30 days and then every year), Option STOP Training (within 30 days). ● Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire. ● Mechanical aptitude required. Recommended: ● Plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration experience preferred. ● School Diploma or GED preferred.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.90 per hour
