What You'll Be Doing

This position involves responsible skilled and semiskilled maintenance work in the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects – Streets Division that can include performing maintenance and repair activities on Town streets, parks and grounds. Work also includes assisting with special community events. Work requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

HS/GED.
Minimum one (1) year of experience performing a variety of skilled trades and/or maintenance work.
Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment and construction skills.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of specific road maintenance experience including repair and snow removal; experienced with the use of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class A with Tanker and Air Brakes.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
