Responsibilities

Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with refrigerated trailers to transport perishable freight over designated routes.
Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods to maintain quality standards.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking refrigeration units, brakes, tires, lights, and load securement.
Manage route driving with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure timely deliveries.
Handle freight documentation accurately and maintain detailed logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records.
Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the truck and trailer to uphold safety standards.

Skills

Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers.
Proficiency in driving automatic trucks for versatile route requirements.
Experience with refrigerated trailers (reefers), Dry Van
Strong knowledge of load securement techniques and cargo handling procedures.
Familiarity with route driving strategies to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers; attentive to detail for accurate documentation.
