Assistant Store Manager – Sales & Operations

Hourly wage, plus growth incentive based on sales earnings

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic, sales-driven, and dependable Assistant Store Manager to help lead the daily operations of our small specialty retail boutique.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fashion, personalized customer service, team leadership, and creating an exceptional shopping experience. Our boutique specializes in helping clients find products that support both confidence and wellness, including professional bra fittings.

The Assistant Store Manager will serve as a key partner to the owner and will take direct ownership of sales performance, staff supervision, scheduling, inventory, merchandising, and social media activity. The right candidate will be comfortable leading by example, coaching employees, solving problems independently, and stepping in wherever needed to help the store succeed.

Professional bra-fitting experience is not required. We will provide training, but candidates must be comfortable delivering personalized, respectful, and discreet service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Experience
* Build lasting relationships with customers, and provide warm, knowledgeable, and personalized customer service.
* Assist clients in finding the correct bra size, fit, and products for their individual needs.
* Learn and confidently communicate product features, benefits, sizing, and care instructions.
* Work toward store sales goals and help improve conversion, average transaction value, and repeat business.
* Resolve customer concerns, returns, special requests, and service issues professionally.

Inventory, Ordering, and Merchandising

* Monitor inventory levels, product movement, and replenishment needs.
* Receive shipments, verify merchandise, and address discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts.
* Maintain attractive, organized, and seasonally appropriate displays.
* Recommend product, display, and promotional opportunities based on customer feedback and sales trends.

Social Media and Store Promotion

* Create and post engaging, brand-appropriate content across the boutique’s social media platforms.
* Help maintain a consistent posting schedule and brand voice.
* Support in-store events, promotions, community partnerships, and customer outreach.

Store Operations

* Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit, returns, exchanges, discounts, and gift cards.
* Complete opening and closing procedures, including register reconciliation.
* Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming store environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* One to three years of retail leadership, key-holder, shift-lead, or assistant manager experience.
* Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and motivate others.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Confident, professional, and comfortable initiating conversations with customers.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks without constant supervision.
* Basic understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations.
* Comfortable creating social media content for a business.
* Willingness to learn professional bra-fitting techniques and detailed product knowledge.
* Available to work at least one weekend day each week, as well as select holidays, events, and peak retail periods.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
