Responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
Manage inventory control through stock ordering, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management systems
Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team performance and product knowledge
Handle recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, participating in hiring decisions, and onboarding new employees
Implement pricing strategies, promotional displays, and merchandising plans to maximize sales potential
Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare sales reports, and assist with budgeting and operational planning
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures
Foster a positive shopping environment by maintaining excellent communication skills with customers and team members

Skills

Strong management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight
Excellent communication skills including managerial communication, phone etiquette, and organizational abilities
Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills for retail math calculations
Demonstrated experience in supervising staff through effective training & development programs
Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and operational management practices
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases
Proven ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining high customer service standards
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams, supervise shifts effectively, and manage time efficiently
Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, stock replenishment procedures, and inventory control methods
Experience in recruiting talent through interviewing processes and employee orientation programs
