Sol Systems is seeking an Office Administrative Assistant to support the smooth operation of the office by providing administrative and organizational assistance. This role will coordinate administrative functions for our office to ensure that the team is operating as efficiently and productively as possible. This person should be resourceful and well-organized, while handling all aspects of administrative support. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all of Sol's guests and delivery staff; work with the building security on guest entry procedures.
Receive, process and distribute mail and packages; assist with posting outgoing mail and shipping packages.
Manage inventory and orders for a variety of office-related materials including daily office supplies, kitchen supplies, new hire onboarding materials, special event orders and holiday gifts.
Assist with internal conference room scheduling and help Sol team schedule building conference facilities.
Serve as key member of planning team for company-wide events, including booking hotel blocks and preparing internal documents for staff with all event details.
Coordinate catering for company lunches (every Tuesday and Wednesday) and special event catering as needed.
Assist HR team with scheduling candidate interviews.
General Administrative support

A successful candidate will possess the following competencies, skills, and attributes:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
Highly organized individual with attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material
Ability to lift and carry office supplies such as boxes of paper, cases of drinks, boxes of coffee, etc.

Location & Hours: The role will be based in our Washington, DC office from 8:30am – 5:30pm

Commitment & Compensation: The base salary for this role is between $55,000 and $65,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
