Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
Engage with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about menu items, and ensure an enjoyable experience
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash and credit card payments efficiently
Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates based on current trends and guest preferences
Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste to ensure smooth operations
Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods or special events like banquets and catering functions

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math for inventory management, and food safety knowledge
Experience with food handling standards and adherence to health regulations is preferred
Demonstrated teamwork skills in a restaurant or hospitality setting; previous bar management or catering experience is a plus
