Pelenti Group is hiring Seasonal Day Center Cleaners to support our mission of providing a safe and clean environment for homeless shelter clients during extreme weather conditions. This critical role ensures our day center is clean, organized, and welcoming for those seeking refuge from the cold and other severe weather. Schedule :
Choose Shift 6:30AM-10:30AM Or 4:30PM -8:30PM
Choose Days - Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed or Thurs, Fri , Sat
Duties
- Cot Maintenance Disinfect all cots using Clorox FABRIC hospital-grade cleaner. Wash and dry all dirty cots to ensure hygiene for clients.
- Day Center Cleaning Sweep, mop, and remove trash to maintain a clean space. Wipe down surfaces to promote a sanitary and safe environment.Collect and manage blankets as part of trash and compacting duties.
- Day Center Setup Arrange and set up 35 chairs daily to prepare the space for clients.
- Floor Maintenance Perform autoscrubbing and mopping in the day center area Bathroom Cleaning Thoroughly clean and sanitize the A1 men’s bathroom.
- Lobby Upkeep Maintain cleanliness in the lobby area to provide a welcoming and safe environment for clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with buffing equipment and floor care techniques.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving objects as necessary.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Pay: $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week

- Weekends as needed
