We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers to join our team. As a Mover, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service. You will work both independently and as part of a team to facilitate smooth moving operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload items from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and box trucks as needed.
- Assist in packing, wrapping, and securing items for transport.
- Drive vehicles for deliveries and pickups, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding logistics and schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries and inventory management.
Skills
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with experience driving vans or box trucks is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is advantageous.
