About the Role: We seek a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Specialist to oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This role is critical in ensuring smooth daily operations and collaborating with various departments to maintain high standards of service and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Manage a team of warehouse staff, including task assignment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes for timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and maintain accurate records.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure product integrity.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Solutions Service, Project Management, and customers, for smooth operations.
- Analyze data to identify improvement areas and implement cost-saving measures.
- Manage procedures for handling non-conforming materials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse management role.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
- Experience with asset management and inventory control procedures.
- Understanding of quality control protocols and handling of non-conforming materials.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (current forklift certification required).
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license (as per U.S. government contract).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass the customer’s Public Trust clearance process (FICO score of 650 or above preferred).
