The Assistant Facility Security Officer will review applicants completed eApp and other electronic or hard copy documents and use related systems for the initiation and processing of background investigations. Review background investigation reports and provide assessments of their adequacy, accuracy, and completeness considering relevant security guidelines.
The candidate must be able to assist applicants with corrective action regarding completion and submission of the applicant's personnel security documents with eApp. The candidate will make entries into the personnel security database, schedule appointments to take fingerprints, and perform other support functions, interact professionally with clients, and perform other administrative and clerical duties, as required.
Additional Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Executes administration and coordination of the SA security programs to ensure compliance with Defense and other security policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Ensures compliance with security standards and provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information, and system security, COMSEC, physical security.
- Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.
- Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification and safeguard of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.
- Conducts security briefings and security education programs.
- Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.
- Coordinate preparation, transmittal, and receipt of visitor certifications.
- Manages the continuing eligibility program for personnel using e-QIP, Scattered Castles, and DISS (Defense Information System for Security).
- Experience with JWICS
- May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Bachelor's degree preferred, AA degree and 2 years administrative experience needed
Top-Secret Clearance is required
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
