The Care Specialist will assist with customer service questions and sales, maintaining the storefront's presentation, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
Care Specialists are expected to make the shop an environment that encourages educational forward-thinking, embraces inclusion, and practices the destigmatization of cannabis. Our ideal Care Specialist has a positive, upbeat attitude and a desire to help people find the best product for their needs. Previous Cannabis Experience is preferred. Cover letters are highly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Staging and restocking product inventory to maintain a top-quality presentation at all times
- The Care Specialist, directly reporting to the front-of-house manager, is responsible for executing and maintaining all daily operations of the front-of-house team to achieve the company goals and ethos
- Additionally, the Care Specialist maintains the policies and procedures of the company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations
- Extensive cannabis and product knowledge or eagerness to learn
- Ensure all products sold are compliant and all customers are 21+ with a valid ID
- Provide a unique and delightful experience to all visitors
- Ability to work on a small team to achieve company and team goals
- Performing duties as needed as outlined in the daily, weekly, and monthly objectives schedules
- Executing and enforcing compliance with all local and state regulations
- Follow weekly schedules to ensure there is proper coverage based on the business needs
- Consistent development of sales, customer service, and organizational skills
- Owning personal training and development regarding current product knowledge, policies, and procedures and seeking out answers as needed from the FOH Manager
- Following all company Time and Attendance Policies
- Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge of security procedures and protocols as applicable to position and facility
- Computer usage
Experience
- 1-2 years experience in cannabis sales is preferred
- 2-3 years of hospitality experience
Skills
- Ability to answer patient/customer questions regarding the different types of products, their uses, and consumption methods
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Positive Attitude
- Exceptional customer service skills
- The ability to concentrate on a task for significant periods of time
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
- Learn and understand federal, state, and local industry and safety regulations laws
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to move, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
- Lift and carry packages that weigh up to 40 lbs
