The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of Computer Network Support Specialist - Junior, supporting a DoD client.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $62,500 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The Location: Washington, D.C. / Bolling Air Force Base
The Work Environment: On-Site.
The position will shift from days, to evenings, to nights throughout the course of the month.
The Description:
Duties/ responsibilities may include:
- Provides technical guidance for monitoring and maintaining information and mission systems operations.
- Provides monitoring and technical support for NIPRNET and SIPRNET servers, storage system applications, and other network equipment.
- Provides diagnosis and resolution of network software and hardware issues.
- Provides remote IT support for distributed locations.
- Performs printer and shredder maintenance and repair.
- Completes inventory for printer supplies and reports findings.
- Images workstations, performs updates and manages physical inventories.
- Prepares equipment for disposition and associated documentation.
- Performs technical refresh and deployment of workstations.
- Assists with onboarding new personnel.
- Fields incoming help desk, and other mission-related calls, and prioritizes support.
- Documents held desk support tickets in Remedy and reports metrics.
Education & Experience:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- At least one (1) year of experience working with IT or computer information systems.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, required.
- Ability to work shift hours alternating with the team (i.e. 1 weekend a month, night shifts, etc.)
- Ability to complete projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform data entry into ticketing system.
- Maintain professional customer service while multitasking.
- Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
- Experience with networking devices and operating systems.
Travel:
The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the Government facility, sitting at a desk, working at a computer, and fielding incoming phone calls for a majority of the workday. The employee is required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site to hands-on resolve IT issues. On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
