Beaty Authentications LLC is a workforce solutions firm dedicated to providing qualified personnel to meet the unique needs of our clients. We are currently seeking to hire a Facilities Support Night Monitor. This key position involves overseeing the security, safety, and operational readiness of the facility during evening hours.
Job Overview:
The Night Monitor is responsible for securing classrooms, ensuring the safety and security of the building during evening and weekend class hours, and assisting instructors with classroom setups and technology as needed. This role includes maintaining classroom conditions, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and providing support for classroom-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:Classroom Management and Support:
- Unlock and Secure Classrooms:
- Unlock and secure all scheduled classrooms at least 15 minutes prior to class start and 15 minutes after class ends.
- Ensure classrooms are left secured after the final class of the day, including locking windows and doors.
- Furniture and Equipment Movement:
- Move light furniture and equipment (up to 40 lbs) within classrooms or between buildings as requested.
- Tasks may include resetting desk/chair configurations or transferring AV equipment.
- Classroom Setup:
- Ensure desks are neatly arranged in rows after each class session.
- Advise instructors on the Education and Training Section policy to return rooms to their original configuration after use.
- Keep records of notifications to instructors about configuration violations.
- Technology Support:
- Be familiar with and assist instructors in using interactive smart boards and other AV equipment.
- Ensure all pens and remotes for smart boards are maintained in each classroom.
- Notify instructors of proper use of equipment and provide basic troubleshooting assistance if needed.
Security and Access Control:
- Force Protection and Security Protocols:
- Follow Force Protection procedures including posting signs and verifying personnel are DoD-affiliated.
- Allow only authorized personnel (students, faculty, staff, and Education & Training Section personnel) into the building.
- Periodic Security Checks:
- Conduct 30-minute checks of hallways and entrances to ensure only authorized personnel are in the building.
- Perform a final security check after all personnel have left the building, ensuring all rooms, hallways, and lavatories are vacant, and that all exits and windows are locked.
- Cell Phone Availability:
- Carry a cell phone and be on call during evening and weekend class times.
- Respond promptly to instructor calls as needed during class hours.
Facility Maintenance:
- Classroom Condition Checks:
- Perform routine checks of each classroom to ensure the seating layout, lighting, windows, writing boards, and cleanliness are in good condition.
- Report any issues or problems to Education and Training Section Personnel.
- Dry Erase Board Maintenance:
- Erase and clean dry erase boards daily and use cleaner once a week.
- Ensure boards are cleaned by Thursday of even-numbered weeks of each term.
- Trash and Debris Removal:
- Remove miscellaneous items and debris from classroom floors and furniture.
- Dispose of trash in the nearest receptacle; any found valuables should be turned into the Education and Training Section customer service desk.
- Trash Disposal in Borrowed Classrooms:
- Empty trash cans in borrowed classrooms and other facilities each evening after class and dispose of trash in the nearby dumpster.
- Maintenance Reporting:
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., lighting, repairs) to the building manager.
Administrative and Log Maintenance:
- Logbook Maintenance:
- Maintain a logbook to record discrepancies, special requests, and unusual occurrences.
- Make the logbook available for review by Education and Training Section Personnel as requested.
Hours of Operation:
- Typical Schedule:
- Evenings (Monday to Friday), Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays or holidays, depending on course schedules.
- Class periods usually run from 1630–2230, with additional 15-minute periods before and after each class meeting.
- Fluctuating Hours:
- Hours will vary based on the course schedule, including potential make-up classes or additional meeting times.
Security Requirements:
- Background Check:
- Must pass a Security Forces background check for base access.
- Identification:
- Contractor and subcontractor employees must be U.S. citizens or possess valid documentation for non-U.S. citizens (Green Card, Social Security Card, etc.).
- Employees must have a valid State driver’s license and birth certificate for U.S. citizens; non-citizens must have the required identification.
- State-issued driver’s license required if driving on base.
- Vehicle and Pass Requirements:
- Ensure the appropriate pass and identification items are obtained for employees and non-government-owned vehicles.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as moving furniture and equipment (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail for security checks, classroom maintenance, and reporting.
- Ability to use and assist others with interactive smart boards and AV equipment.
- Knowledge of Force Protection and security protocols in a military or government setting.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with instructors, staff, and security personnel.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
