Job Overview

Hawkeye is hiring a Junior IT Support Specialist to provide the Navy International Program Office with Tier 1 IT support. The position is full-time and requires working in-office at the Washington Navy Yard.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The duties of the junior IT support specialist include:

IT management including issuing, troubleshooting, and monitoring command mobile devices, external hard drives, computer headsets, and phone headsets.
Maintaining and updating the Navy IPO ‘Process Desk Guides (PDGs)’, and interpreting and adapting these and other such guidelines as the situation requires
Assist the Helpdesk Lead with tracking and responding to helpdesk issues in the Navy IPO SharePoint ticketing system. Issues may include toner replacements, cubicle and office setups, Teams/GVS/VTC/SVTC setups, Cisco desk phones, software, and other non-routine issues.
Assist the Helpdesk Lead in maintaining the master mobile device database and Mobile User Agreements (MUA)
Serve as liaison between IPO personnel and DoN CIO Mobility Team including submitting ITD tickets for initial issuance of mobile devices, requesting out-of-baseline features, and providing documentation for missing, lost, stolen, or damaged devices.
Assisting with mobile device setups, updates, and basic troubleshooting. Requires obtaining DISA Purebred Agent designation after hire.
Assist with disposal of retiring government assets through DLA Disposition Services, including obtaining an AMPS account to submit Electronic Turn In Document (ETID) documentation and palletize property before turn-in. Requires being able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Security Clearance Requirement

A current active Secret clearance is required.
