Position Objective: Assist the Retail Operations team in maintaining the Foundation's warehouse and storage areas, picking replenishment and online orders, tagging product, receiving product and supply shipments, and basic inventory control under the general direction of the Assistant Retail Operations Manager, per Foundation Shop policy and procedural guidelines. The position terminates on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Position Responsibilities:
- Picks replenishments and online orders
- Labels and makes inventory items scannable per established procedures.
- Receives incoming merchandise and supplies accurately, verifies counts with the packing slip, invoice, and/or purchase order.
- Notes and records all physical discrepancies or damages in shipments under the direction of the Inventory Supervisor and per established procedures.
- Maintains the organization of all warehouse and storage areas. This includes recording item locations.
- Restocks and monitors all supplies necessary to operate store registers on a daily basis and alerts Inventory Supervisor of low-stock situations.
- Assists in the preparation and shipment of customer orders from multiple channels such as online, sales floor, phone per established procedures.
- Aids in the delivery of merchandise or supplies to other museum departments or special on-site/off-site events as requested.
- Assists Inventory Supervisor with annual physical inventory, carrying out pre-counts and spot checks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Occasionally needs to support the sales floor and be able to operate a cash register.
- Represents shop at off-site and special events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Computer literate with the ability to learn inventory and point-of-sale system
- Able to lift heavy boxes over a sustained period
- Detail orientated and ability to multitask
- Team player
- Required work hours are Monday - Friday, 12 PM - 6:30 PM
