Assistant Professor for Social Work for the School of Nursing and Health Professions

Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the Nation’s capital, offering a broad range of educational programs that prepare students across the lifespan for the intellectual, ethical and spiritual dimensions of contemporary work, civic and family life invites applications for a full-time position in the Social Work program beginning in the Fall of 2025 within the School of Nursing and Health Professions.

Position Description

The 12-month Social Work Faculty position (Assistant Professor – non-tenure-track) will encompass teaching social work courses such as social work, introduction to social justice, social work practice courses, social policy, field seminar courses and other courses within the candidate’s area of specialization. Additional expectations include student academic advising, supervision of student research projects, service to the School and University, and continued professional development.

Work Location: On Site (this is not a remote position)

Minimum Qualifications:

MANDATORY Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program;
Minimum two years of post-master’s social work degree practice experience in social work;
Licensure-eligible as an LCSW
Applicants must demonstrate an aptitude for teaching undergraduates.
Knowledge and experience working with CSWE and the accreditation process

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience with undergraduate social work students
Experience working in an academic environment
