About the role:
The Maintenance Assistant supports the Maintenance Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of the club's facilities and grounds. This role is essential in ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently, and that the club's property remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
Responsibilities: Maintenance Assistant
•Assist the Maintenance Manager in supervising and coordinating maintenance activities across all club facilities, including buildings, fitness centers, tennis courts, swimming pools, food outlets, and recreational areas.
•Carry out maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager, including minor repairs, grounds keeping, equipment servicing, and other duties as needed.
•Conduct inspections alongside the Maintenance Manager to assess the condition of the facilities and identify maintenance needs. Report findings and assist in prioritizing repairs or improvements.
•Assist in coordinating with internal departments, external contractors, and vendors to schedule and complete maintenance projects efficiently and within budget.
•Support grounds keeping operations, including lawn care, landscaping, irrigation, and pest control, ensuring the property is well-maintained.
•Aid in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices in all maintenance activities and operations.
•Help implement and track preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols to reduce risks and ensure a safe environment for members, guests, and staff.
•Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and systems used in club operations, such as HVAC systems, pool pumps, fitness equipment, and kitchen equipment.
•Help monitor maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
•Assist in managing the maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and supporting the Maintenance Manager in adhering to financial targets.
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance and/or facilities operations.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in building maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment repair.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, vendors, and club members.

Work Schedule Expectations:
•Monday through Friday is the expected working schedule for this position, with flexibility based on task requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating, and executing, after-hours and weekend maintenance as needed, ensuring alignment with regular hours, and executing tasks accordingly.
•Maintain an on-call availability to promptly respond to and address emergency maintenance situations as they arise, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
•Provide support for event setup, execution, and breakdown, collaborating with event organizers and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout all stages of the event, including weekends and holidays when events may occur.
