About Walter’s Sports Bar

Walter’s Sports Bar isn’t just a bar—it’s the ultimate game-day experience. Located right across from Nationals Park, we offer 24 self-pour beer taps, an expansive outdoor patio, and a massive 220” screen for the biggest sports moments. We’re known for our electric atmosphere, great food, and top-notch hospitality.

Now, we’re looking for a Hospitality Manager to help elevate our guest experience and keep Walter’s the go-to spot for sports fans and beer lovers in DC.

About the Role

As Hospitality Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the guest experience, leading our front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service, smooth operations, and an unbeatable sports bar atmosphere. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to ensure every shift runs like a championship team—efficient, exciting, and always customer-focused.

What You’ll Be Doing

✅ Create an Unmatched Guest Experience – Ensure every customer feels like an MVP, from first-timers to regulars
✅ Lead & Develop Your Team – Hire, train, and motivate an all-star crew to provide top-tier service
✅ Own the Floor – Oversee daily operations, maintain service standards, and handle guest concerns
✅ Manage Inventory & Costs – Assist with ordering, tracking, and controlling costs to drive profitability
✅ Keep the Energy High – Ensure the vibe is always right, from game days to happy hours
✅ Uphold Safety & Compliance – Maintain food, beverage, and safety standards at all times
✅ Work Closely with the GM – Assist with scheduling, staff development, and strategic initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

A Leader at Heart – You know how to motivate and manage a high-energy team
Experienced in Hospitality – 2+ years in restaurant/bar management (sports bar experience a plus!)
Customer Obsessed – You live for creating unforgettable guest experiences
Cool Under Pressure – You can handle the fast-paced, unpredictable nature of a packed sports bar
Operations-Savvy – Experience with inventory, ordering, and cost control is a bonus
A Sports & Beer Fan (Preferred!) – You get the thrill of a big game and know how to keep the energy flowing
