Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Only candidates with Dermatology experience will be considered.
What you'll do on a typical day as a Dermatology Medical Assistant/Scribe:
- Scribe accurately on all patient charts.
- Prepare patients for treatments and educate patients as required after the physician has established the treatment plan.
- Understanding the proper use of their medication, act as medical scribe. Provide pre-care treatments instructions.
- Assisting in dermatological procedures and cosmetic treatments.
- Assist in nursing procedures such as suture removal and all duties related to medical instrument cleaning and sterilization.
- Maintains cleanliness of exam rooms; orders and restock of supplies.
- Distribute and explain handouts to patients.
- Complies with all HIPPA and OSHA regulations.
What you'll need to be successful as a Dermatology Medical Assistant/Scribe:
- High School graduate or equivalent, additional course work or experience in the medical field.
- At least two years of prior Medical Scribe and Medical Assistant experience in Dermatology.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Professionalism.
- Attention to Detail.
- The ability to prioritize.
- Prior experience with Athena EMR system (Preferred)
