Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with loading and unloading items for various clients. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Ensure all items are securely packed and organized during transport to prevent damage.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist in the preparation of delivery documentation as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong skills in heavy lifting and physical endurance are essential for this role.
- Familiarity with loading/unloading procedures and equipment operation (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in working hours, including the potential for overtime as needed.
