Basic Job Function
Operates tractor/trailer daily; supervises job daily; loads and unloads household goods shipments up to 20,000 lbs. daily; packs shipments; inventories shipments. Maintains a good safety and claims record; meets company standards for customer satisfaction; operates tractor/trailer in an efficient and profitable manner.

Minimum Job Qualifications Required
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Six months to 1 year Household Goods Experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Pass DOT physical and drug screening; Virginia State Class A CDL; clean driving record; must complete UVL Packer and Mover certification training.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
Basic literacy and math skills; good communication skills.
Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions
1. Responsible for quality assurance and customer satisfaction on each job done.
2. Supervises crew of two to five men daily.
3. Loads/unloads shipments.
4. Packs and unpacks shipments.
5. Inventories shipments.
6. Completes all paperwork properly.
7. Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs. alone; up to 400 lbs. in a team carry.
8. Must be able to carry furniture up and down stairs.
9. Loads truck for density and safety.
10. Works office moves.
Physical/Mental Job Requirements
Job requires physical strength and dexterity up to the levels described above. Performing the actual move is an integral part of the job. Physical must be passed in order to meet federal government regulations.
