We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager (AGM) who thrives in hospitality, champions a collaborative culture, and is passionate about delivering excellence in every guest interaction.
What You’ll Do
As AGM, you’ll be a key operational leader working closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, support the team, and drive business performance. You’ll help manage financials, enforce brand and service standards, and contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere for staff and guests alike.
Your Day-to-Day
- Support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and guest experience
- Lead and coach team members, fostering strong morale and high performance
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control of food, liquor, beer, and wine
- Help ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations
- Oversee shifts, labor schedules, and ensure labor budget adherence
- Champion a positive, hospitality-first culture through coaching and example
- Assist with training, recruiting, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with GM on marketing, promotions, and community engagement
- Analyze P&L reports and contribute to strategic financial decisions
- Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetics
- Handle guest feedback and support service recovery
- Ensure all cash handling, invoicing, and inventory controls are followed
- Work closely with departments including HR, Finance, and Marketing
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of experience as an AGM or Ops Manager in a high-volume full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Proven ability to manage costs and drive revenue
- Working knowledge of restaurant financials and performance metrics
- TIPS, ABRA, and Bar Manager’s license (required or willing to obtain)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- 50-hour on-site work week commitment, including nights and weekends
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting seasonal promotions and events
- Spanish language skills
- Culinary or Executive Chef experience is a plus
