Overview:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects at Casa Teresa. The AGM ensures exceptional customer service, maintains high-quality standards, and contributes to the restaurant's profitability. This role involves leading and developing the team, implementing operational strategies, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment. Strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and organizational abilities are vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
● Team Support and Development: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising a diverse team of employees, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
● Leadership: Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.
● Mentorship: Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
● Operational Support: Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to high service standards.
● Standard Operating Procedures: Assist in developing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
● Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and guests.
● Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels, track food costs, and assist in implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
● Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and quality control.
● Customer Service: Maintain a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
● Guest Relations: Interact with guests, address their needs and concerns, and build positive relationships to enhance the dining experience.
● Feedback Management: Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally. Assist in training staff in de-escalation techniques.
● Budget and Financial Assistance: Support the development and management of the restaurant's budget, including revenue forecasts and cost analysis.
● Market Analysis: Assist in analyzing sales trends, customer preferences, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.
● Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standards.
● Safety Training: Assist in training staff on proper safety procedures and maintain documentation for health inspections.
Qualifications/Experience:
● Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
● Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
● Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost-control techniques is a plus.
● Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
● Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
● Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to stand for extended periods.
● Capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
● Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $75-85k, based on experience
Schedule: Varies with business needs; restaurant open Monday-Saturday, typical work week is 5 days.
