Key Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments for individuals seeking services
Review clinical records and background information to understand clients’ treatment histories and life experiences
Collaborate with internal and external providers when appropriate and authorized
Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on building healthy coping strategies for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
Co-create and regularly update individualized treatment and recovery plans with each client to guide their therapeutic journey
Monitor, document, and evaluate client progress toward treatment goals in alignment with agency and regulatory standards
Provide case management, referrals, and advocacy to support sustained recovery
Offer psychoeducational resources and therapeutic tools tailored to each client’s needs
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and state/federal regulations
Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development, including evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care
Support program quality through contributions to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts
Refer clients and families to community resources as needed for additional support

Qualifications:

Active Maryland Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) certification (required)
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals experiencing substance use or co-occurring disorders
Familiarity with behavioral health treatment models, recovery-oriented care, and documentation best practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients using culturally competent and strengths-based approaches
Eagerness to grow professionally, receive feedback, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic clinical setting
Passion for the mission of Devine Interventions and a sincere desire to support individuals on their recovery journey
