EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Program Specialist I-Parent Educators who will support familiesof children from birth to age five through coaching, training, and collaboration with parents and caregivers and utilizing play based strategies to build on parenting strengths while enhancing the development of their child(ren).Establish nurturing, supportive, and stimulating relationships with parents, care givers and children through strong communication skills and an individualized approach.Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans in alignment with developmentally appropriate practices and standards for children birth to age five.Model strategies for parents and care givers based on the Pyramid Model for Social Competence in infants and young children.Utilize a coaching approach to support family interactions with their children.Develop and/or present monthly parent trainings.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
We will use interview preference criteria: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human/Child Development, or Social Services. Minimum of 4 years of experience in an early childhood classroom/settingKnowledge and/or experience of the Pyramid Model for Social Competence. Five years of experience working with families and children ages 0-5.Multilingual Preferred (Spanish, Amharic, French, Chinese)
