This position is for an Assistant Maintenance Technician, for a residential property located in NE Washington, D.C. Expected to maintain quality customer service and high satisfaction among residents and prospects. To respond promptly and courteously to all residents.
This is a part-time temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Pay: $24-$25.00/ per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring indoor and outdoor maintenance and clean presentation of the community
- Performing various cleaning and minor maintenance activities throughout the commons areas of the property to include sweeping and mopping all tile surfaces, polishing as necessary all floor space, window cleaning, and vacuuming carpeted areas
- Cleaning common area rest rooms to include disinfecting toilets, sinks, floors, and restocking rest room supplies as needed
- Assisting with cleaning when apartments turnover
- Removing and disposing of trash in all designated common areas
- Ensuring all cleaning supplies are safely and properly stored in appropriate areas
- Assisting with indoor maintenance including: routine painting, carpentry, dry wall, cleaning, minor plumbing, basic electrical, flooring, and other maintenance activities in response to work orders; also prepping vacant units for new residents to move-in
- Assisting with outdoor maintenance including: trash management, mowing, trimming shrubbery, cultivating flower beds, as well as snow, ice, salting and debris removal as needed
- Timely communication with team members for immediate follow-up on work orders
- Taking pride in performing quality work and meeting our residents’ needs.
- Adapting to changing work priorities to meet required project/work task deadlines
Qualifications:
- 1 year prior apartment or home repair maintenance experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum High School diploma/GED required
- MUST have experience with Yardi
- Strong time management, problem solving, communication, and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers
- Must work well independently as well as on a team
