Gyu San Japanese BBQ Restaurant in Ballston, VA that aims to innovate traditional Japanese cuisine using modern culinary ideas. We are currently seeking professional, motivated, and enthusiastic bartenders to join our team.
As a bartender, your responsibilities and duties will include the following:
- Opening and setting up the bar based on restaurant protocols
- Verifying identification and age requirements of guests ordering alcoholic beverages as required by law
- Preparing and mixing classic and craft cocktails according to restaurant standards
- Washing and cleaning glasses and bar utensils as needed
- Opening and maintaining tabs throughout the shift
- Collecting and processing payment from customers
- Building rapport with customers to create a hospitable atmosphere
Qualifications and traits we are looking for in our bartenders:
- Being of legal age to prepare and mix alcoholic beverages
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and lift a moderate weight
