We cater to corporate businesses, five-star hotels, upscale restaurants, embassies, and private homes throughout the Washington DC area. As a floral designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the decades-long tradition of excellence and community connection through flowers. Duties
- Design and create floral arrangements for events, weddings, and everyday occasions based on customer preferences and specifications.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs while providing expert advice on care and maintenance.
- Flower processing and general maintenance to ensure quality standards.
- Operate the in-store POS to process sales transactions efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Stay updated on current floral design trends and techniques to enhance creativity and service offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in floral design required for at least one year.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards in floral design.
- You must be able to stand on your feet for many hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with cash registers and POS systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of indoor plants, landscape or gardening is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
