Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will support daily operations by ensuring all machinery and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. You’ll perform hands-on work involving electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background looking to grow in a production-focused maintenance role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of journey-level experience in electrical and heating equipment maintenance
- Completion of an apprentice-level mechanical/electrical training program with 2+ years of progressive maintenance experience (preferred)
- HVAC Journeyman’s License is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and control systems
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions
- Climbing ladders up to 35 feet
- Lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs (with assistance)
- Bending, kneeling, and working in confined or awkward positions for extended periods
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform journey-level electrical and mechanical work, including installation, modification, and repair of:
- Electrical systems
- Commercial kitchen equipment
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and conveyor systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in production machinery and systems
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and components
- Assemble, install, and maintain HVAC control systems and mechanical components
- Test, calibrate, and adjust systems for optimal performance
- Maintain accurate records, work orders, and documentation
- Conduct routine inspections and facility safety tours
- Operate tools, testing devices, and powered equipment in compliance with company safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
