Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation meets our high standards of quality and safety. This role involves collaborating with the Head Chef to create delicious dishes while maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
Help manage inventory by tracking supplies and placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Participate in menu planning and development alongside the Head Chef.
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the management team to enhance overall kitchen efficiency and service quality.
Help maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and safe for use.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant management is required.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in inventory management and kitchen management is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and supervision of kitchen staff.
Passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
