Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Also must be drug-free and able to drive a box truck to make daily deliveries. You must have a good driving record, be able to provide a driver's physical, be able to operate a fork-lift, and be familiar with the roads in the MD/DC/VA area.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
- Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
- Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required
- Assist in the loading and unloading of shipments
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory control and order fulfillment
- Follow safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Package products for shipping and prepare orders for delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize distribution processes
- Participate in regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy
Skills
- Proficient in inventory management and control techniques
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation including forklifts and battery pallet jack.
- Knowledge of packaging procedures and order picking processes
- Ability to perform tasks related to shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and order fulfillment
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in a distribution setting.
