Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team for a federal program involving the transportation of government equipment to various locations. The ideal candidate will have prior delivery experience and possess strong organizational skills. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely transporting assets to designated sites in coordination with another team member.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport government equipment to different locations as per program requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of assets while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with a team member to efficiently load and unload equipment, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain delivery logs and documentation, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as DOT regulations, at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a commercial or government setting.
- Valid DOT certification with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50lbs, and operate a pallet jack.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility to work collaboratively with a team member and independently as needed.
- Familiarity with Remedy software is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
