Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Non-CDL Box Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently using company truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations while ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 26-foot box truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Load and unload cargo, often with the assistance of a lift gate, pallet jack, or hand truck, ensuring proper securing of all items.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while maintaining schedules and adhering to traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential issues on the road.
- Utilize manual transmission when required and operate forklifts for loading/unloading tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Proven experience in truck driving or delivery driver roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations for non-CDL vehicles, company safety standards, and all relevant local, state, and federal laws.
