What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced assistant store manager to lead and manage one of our locations in Tysons, who will have the ability to be responsible with her store manager for the overall management of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. The ideal candidate is a passionate go-getter who will care deeply about their team and generate sales.
Role Description:
- Drive store results by consistently monitoring the store’s key performance indicator (KPI) targets and taking appropriate action to achieve store targets.
- Have excellent customer service through in-the-moment coaching, role modeling, and utilizing customer feedback to reinforce and improve quality of service.
- Maximize the sales performance of the team through product knowledge education, coaching selling skills and leading by example.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking and conducting inventory counts.
- Maintain visual and merchandising standards and ensure store cleanliness.
- Hire, train, and evaluate sales associates.
- Create and organize the store's schedule.
- Enforce safety, health, and security rules.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years experience managing a retail store and leading a team.
- Strong customer service, management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of children's fashion is preferable.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills– you are energized by working with people; both guests and your team.
- A bias towards action– you are an owner who does not hesitate to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- An eye for detail – you know that the little things – be it cleanliness, the extra touch, or a few decimals – can make all the difference.
- The desire to problem solve– you like finding problems and fixing them.
- The ability to multitask– you can prioritize and execute at many different tasks each day.
- Computer Knowledge: Microsoft Office Word, Excel & Outlook, Acrobat.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for an extended time.
- Lift up to 30 lbs.
- Go up and down stairs.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and moving items.
