Nero is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our dynamic team, recently noted as one of the Best New Bars in DC by Eater. We are a unique 3-story concept featuring a speakeasy, wine bar, and an Italian-Indian fusion cuisine restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Possess knowledge of craft cocktails, spirits, and wine.
- Build and serve craft cocktails with technique and speed.
- Assist with preparation such as making syrups, garnishes, and batches.
- Learn to operate, explain, and service the WineMotion self-serve wine dispensing system.
- Execute precise wine service, including decanting and temperature control.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and pairings to all patrons.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of our menu, such as ingredients and preparation.
- Adhere to key steps of service, including table setting, food delivery, and efficient clearing.
- Craft a personal experience and incorporate connection into everyday service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a server or bartender in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
- Strong knowledge and description skills relevant to food and beverage pairings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
