Akira Technologies is seeking Hardware Installation Technicians (Levels I–III) to support government projects involving the delivery, installation, and testing of standard and non-standard hardware systems. The selected candidates will conduct hardware integration, unit testing, and site surveys while ensuring all equipment installations meet quality, performance, and compliance standards.
This position is ideal for technically skilled individuals who thrive in hands-on environments and have experience supporting IT infrastructure deployments in secure facilities.
Job Responsibilities
Test, deliver, and install standard and non-standard hardware in accordance with project and security requirements.
Perform hardware integration and unit testing, ensuring proper functionality and configuration.
Maintain detailed and accurate test logs, installation reports, and documentation of results.
Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, environmental factors, and network readiness.
Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and project management teams to support system deployment schedules.
Adhere to established safety, security, and compliance standards for hardware installation.
Provide technical feedback and recommendations for improving installation procedures and system performance.
Required Qualifications
Hardware Installation Technician I (Entry Level)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience in hardware installation, IT support, or related technical field.

Basic understanding of computer hardware and network components.

Ability to follow installation instructions and technical diagrams.

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Hardware Installation Technician II (Intermediate Level)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: 2+ years of experience performing hardware installations, testing, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in installing, integrating, and verifying IT systems.

Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.

Experience conducting site surveys and supporting project implementations.

Clearance: Active or interim Public Trust clearance preferred.
Hardware Installation Technician III (Senior Level)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.

Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Experience: 5–8 years of progressive experience in hardware installation, integration, and testing within secure or government environments.

Advanced expertise in system deployment and configuration management.

Proven ability to lead or oversee small installation teams.

Strong knowledge of federal or defense hardware installation standards.

Clearance: Active Public Trust or higher (Secret or Top Secret preferred).

Work Environment

Salary Range: $53,000 to $90,000
