We are an established boutique integrative medicine practice in Bethesda, MD. Known for our professionalism, quality of care, and patient-centered approach, we are seeking a stellar Patient Experience Coordinator (Medical Front Desk Associate) to join our team. Our team is made up of dedicated, goal-oriented, and driven individuals who truly care about helping others.
This entry-level role comes with on the job training and is ideal for someone who takes initiative, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work hard. We promote from within and are looking for someone eager to own their work and grow with the practice as we expand.
This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position.
You must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Hours are available Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 8:30pm and Friday - Saturday 9:30am - 6:30pm.
This position requires working at a standing desk, consistently wearing a KN95 mask to protect our immunocompromised patients, and is generally “on the move” to complete tasks and essential job functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front desk & scheduling process — welcome patients with professionalism, manage the check-in/check-out process, and take ownership of scheduling patients.
- Support patients — communicate clearly to patients about treatment plans, next steps, follow-ups, and payment options so they feel informed, confident and cared for.
- Uphold community safety — follow infection-control standards and guidelines, wear KN95 masks, maintain a fragrance-free environment, practice hand hygiene (short clean nails), etc.
- Direct daily flow — keep the office polished, organized, and fully stocked; uphold professional standards of cleanliness.
- Be a true team player — work with staff and providers to keep schedules and patient flow moving and efficient.
Required
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of hospitality, customer service, or other client/customer facing experience
- Commitment to safety standards and office policies: KN95 masking at all times, fragrance-free environment, professional grooming (short clean nails; no artificial nails) etc.
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds as part of stocking and office upkeep; climbing step stools/ladders
- Comfortable working at a standing desk for extended periods of time
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Reliability is a must. Ability to take ownership and responsibility
- High initiative — proactive, dependable, organized, you must be able to anticipate needs
- Trustworthy and able to maintain confidential information
- Must have reliable personal transportation — our clinic is not easily accessible by public transit
- Able to commit for 12 consecutive months
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
