Job description:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our small but busy medical office. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk experience. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assists providers with patient preparation, office procedures, examination and education of patients
- Record patients’ medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in the chart or EMR
- Maintain examination rooms—restock supplies, ensure cleanliness, and sanitize instruments
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments using the office’s EHR/EMR system.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records as needed.
- Assist with coordinating referrals and communicating with outside vendors.
- Support the medical team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage patient schedules efficiently and accurately.
Preferred:
- 1 year of medical front desk or related healthcare office experience.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $19.00 per hour
