Job Description:
We are looking for a Restaurant Front of House Manager to ensure all nightly activities run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will primarily play as the Maitre D! You will work closely with your Executive Chef and your lead servers to ensure we are managing reservations and walk-ins effectively, while giving world class customer service.
This position requires flexibility to work evening shifts to manage the dinner rush for a growing restaurant. This position has the potential to grow to the General Manager position in a rapid amount of time if you are the right candidate. We are looking for someone with the willingness to learn the Ashling way where everyone rolls up their sleeves to do whatever it takes, has great energy, agood vibe, and the foresight to help the company continuously evolve.
Key responsibilities include
- Manage up to 15 employees; Scheduling & Training
- Manage $40K-$70K of business per week.
- Oversee the staff performance to ensure a quality dining experience
- Exemplify exceptional guest experience while focusing on the continuous mentoring and training of staff in order to mimic best practices
- Coordinating daily communications with front and back of house staff
- End of night reporting, money & banking
- Setting up the restaurant for success the following day
- Reviewing and preparing daily reports to review with the general manager
- Bar, Hostess & Buss Staff hiring, training, & coaching
- Bar & Paper good ordering & inventory control
-Attend designated meetings to review financials, planning, & vendor partners
-Complete other duties as assigned
Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Potential Schedule:
Monday - Off (RESTAURANT IS CLOSED)
Tuesday - Off Potentially
Wednesday - 12pm - 10pm
Thursday - 2pm - 10pm
Friday - 2pm - 11pm
Saturday - 1pm - 11pm
Sunday - 10am - First Cut or 12pm - 9pm
Basic Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21 years of age of older
- Must have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality or retail with management of 10 plus employees, and revenue streams of $2-$3 million
- Restaurant Experience a plus
Additional Qualifications:
- Catering experience a plus
- Strong knowledge and experience in in upscale restaurants
- Ability to convey information, work within strict deadlines, multi-task, and react quickly and effectively to challenges
- Bilingual a plus but not required
- Possess a valid ServSafe Certification and TIPS Certification
- Ability to lead a team utilizing great organizational & communication skills
Working Conditions:
- Ability to carry and lift up to 40lbs, walking, bending, and standing 80% of the shift, and working in different temperatures / environments
- Schedule will vary according to operational needs including very limited holidays, weekends and long shifts
- Great personal hygiene is a must
